Rally.
The situation was dire at halftime but the Wolverines’ halftime change, whether it be mood or scheme, was enough to pound the Wildcats into submission.
Though Denard Robinson struggled in the first half, he made the biggest change and was outstanding in the second, finishing the game with 442 yards of offense, leading four second-half touchdown drives, completing 7-of-8 passes and rushing for 69 yards in the final 30 minutes — without a turnover.
The U-M defense was just as potent, holding Northwestern without a touchdown in the second half and forcing two turnovers.
It was a scene that mirrored much of the season, with yet another impressive second half, showing an ability to rally.
