"I am not one who was born in the custody of wisdom. I am one who is fond of olden times and intense in quest of the sacred knowing of the ancients." Gustave Courbet

Don't miss this ...

The rain is coming.

Tonight this Schubert piece accompanied the falling of the light.

And the coming of night.

A night that promises to be bombastic ... storms are coming.

As I listened, the silhouettes of the trees darkened.

The air becoming heavy with moisture.

Night fell.

Like Chroma conducting the sunset in The Phantom Tollbooth, in this piece, Mullova leads her ensemble through the dramatic crescendos and diminuendos, tempos also rising and falling; horns signaling, calling.

Something is happening.

Night.

Storms are coming ...
