Ridiculous.

Lost amidst the tragedy of the Detroit Tigers' head-shaking 6-4 loss to the Minnesota Twins on Monday – including a second straight abysmal start by Doug Fister – was an impressive statistical highlight from Miguel Cabrera.

MLive reader and frequent contributor Dr. Ken Noisewater pointed it out, so he can explain: "One thing lost in the game last night - Cabrera's 3rd hit was his 1,700 hit of his career at 29 years old. That is ridiculous. I was at the game at Comerica last summer after the all-star break when he got number 1,500 and he's already at 1,700. At this pace he'll have 2,000 hits before the end of next season at 30 years old. Absolutely ridiculous."

Yeah, I think everyone can probably agree "ridiculous" is a pretty fair adjective
