Re-united.

On this date, ... in 1913, the Federal Government held a fiftieth anniversary reunion at Gettysburg. The boys who had gone off to war had become old men who came together "re-united in brotherly love and affection"

Thousands of survivors bivouacked on the old battlefield, swapping stories, looking up comrades and, as seen here, retracing their steps and seemingly impossible deeds of 50 years earlier.
