Ari Weinzweig on the value of differentiation ...
In a world where copies and fakes and phonies and phoning-it-in to do as little as possible are so common, doing something truly different that’s true to who we are and makes a meaningful difference in the world remains a special thing. When we find it—whether it's Willie Mays, a Strawberry Moon, Sacha Finkelsztajn in Paris, or someplace special that’s true to your heart—it is indeed akin to a gift. A gift the world could use more of. As Robin Wall Kimmerer writes,
A great longing is upon us, to live again in a world made of gifts. I can scent it coming, like the fragrance of ripening strawberries rising on the breeze.
