Anderson.

The Arthur M. Anderson was trying to close a ten-mile gap between herself and the Edmund Fitzgerald on that fateful November night in 1975.  Once the Anderson reached the location where Big Fitz vanished from the radar, there was nothing but wind and waves to be seen.  Once Anderson reached the safety of Whitefish Bay, the Coast Guard asked her to go back out and search as they had no resources expediently available.  At that point of the night lake Superior was experiencing hurricane-force winds and 30-foot waves.  Captain Bernie Cooper turned around and went back out.

That was nearly fifty years ago when the Anderson was already 23 years old.

She's still kicking ass on the Great Lakes.
