Wonder.

When I was in 5th grade, E. William Oldenburg's Potawatomi Indian Summer turned me into a zealous reader.  It fired my my imagination.  I could see, hear, and smell the woods in the story.  I understood and identified with the characters, and they weren't always the "good guys." As I read, I was in the story.

What book first showed you the wonder of reading?
