The cartographer Abraham Ortelius lived almost 500 years ago.
He is most famous for his atlas, the Theatrum orbis terrarum (1573). The
Bodleian Library at Oxford University recently digitized Hertford College’s copy. Marvel at a stunning use of digital technology.
