Camouflage.

As part of the research for his book Churchill’s Wizards, on British deception between the First and Second World Wars, historian Nicholas Rankin looked at the ways in which soldiers attempted to hide in combat. In this video he talks about new forms of combat in the First World War: the arrival of the trenches, hiding from snipers, how gigantic weapons such as Howitzers were hidden, and how camouflage was influenced by Picasso and the cubists.
