This portrait was considered, by Mozart's wife, Constanze, to be the best likeness of the composer.
Neither a lofty degree of intelligence nor imagination nor both together go to the making of genius. Love, love, love, that is the soul of genius.
- Mozart
From the opera, Don Giovanni ... "Deh, vieni alla finestra," from Act II, Scene III
"... sweetness itself."
Cultural Offering provides a fitting tribute here.
