Washington Irving's Old Christmas

Washington Irving's Old Christmas is a collection of five essays that take the reader back to the frosty greens, the gothic "old piles," yule logs, mistletoe, stage coaches, and hog's heads of Christmas in 19th century England. Irving sings the praises of the traditional and frequently worries, even then, about the loss of the ritual and warmth of The Spirit Of The Season.

Enjoy and Merry Christmas to you and yours.
