Happy Birthday, Pergolesi.

Robert Aubrey Davis just reminded me that Giovanni Battista Pergolesi was born last week, January 4, in 1710.

Barbara Frittoli (soprano) and Sara Mingardo (mezzosoprano) perform Pergolesi's "Quando corpus morietur" from his Stabat Mater.

Quando corpus morietur,
fac, ut animae donetur
paradisi gloria.

Amen.
