Give.


A man who has a spirit that has accepted its own poverty may well find in himself a heart that is given to servanthood. He will not presume to have the means to acquire services of another man or affront the dignity of another by thinking that labor (which is priceless and holy) can be paid for, that time (which is rare) can be bought, or that energy (which is life and so sacred) can be traded for. A man’s creativity will be seen as his birthright, and love — even such love as is merely human — is his gift from God. The poor in spirit would not demand these things of anyone but rather give all of it freely to everyone that would need them.
